The upcoming autumn season 2026 offers a stunning spectrum of international stardom, genre-defying visions, not forgetting the classics. The UMO Helsinki Jazz Orchestra welcomes some of the brightest vocalists of their generation to the stage, including Cyrille Aimée, Becca Stevens, Kate Kortum, and the orchestra’s new Artist-in-Residence, Michael Mayo.
The program spans from the glamour of Broadway musicals to the golden age of jazz, reaching all the way to intimate club sets that showcase domestic and international pioneers beneath the surface. The critically acclaimed UMO Clubs at Helsinki Music Centre’s Black Box will continue, alongside the immensely popular lunch time concerts at the Savoy Theatre.
This autumn also marks the beginning for UMO’s renewed artistic leadership, as Ville Vannemaa as a Chief Conductor, Michael Mayo as a Artist-in-Residence and Bianca Rantala as a Composer-in-Residence start their duties.
