UMO Helsinki Jazz Orchestra’s spring season 2025 is now out 

The UMO Helsinki Jazz Orchestra’s spring 2025 program is now available, and tickets are on sale.

UMO’s guest soloists include one of the most successful Finnish folk musicians, singer-songwriter and kantele artist Maija Kauhanen, multi-award-winning young British saxophonist and composer Emma Rawicz and the Argentinian composer, pianist and conductor, former artistic partner of the orchestra, Guillermo Klein

Ed Partyka’s tenure as the artistic director and chief conductor of the UMO Helsinki Jazz Orchestra concludes this spring. For his farewell concert, UMO will collaborate with Partyka’s long-time friend, Austrian trumpeter Thomas Gansch.

Previously announced concerts include a joint concert with the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra and the British-Nigerian singer-songwriter Ola Onabulé, a joint concert with American jazz and soul singer Lizz Wright at the Savoy JAZZFest and two joint concerts with Olavi Uusivirta and three orchestras, Avanti Chamber Orchestra, the Finnish Baroque Orchestra and UMO.

UMO’s 50th anniversary season will be celebrated from summer 2025 to spring 2026. The celebratory program will be released in the upcoming spring.
