How about some jazz for lunch?
The very popular lunchtime concert concept of Savoy Theatre and UMO Helsinki Jazz Orchestra is back for the winter/spring season 2025! Free tickets for this concert can be booked from Monday, 6 January on at the Savoy Theatre and Lippu.fi – see below for more detailed instructions.
The UMO Helsinki Ensemble together with singer Annimaria Rinne take on the Great American Songbook, i.e. popular songs from Broadway musicals and Hollywood films from the 1920s to the 1950s. Expect to hear more or less familiar musical classics with stylish arrangements.
Singer Annimaria Rinne moves freely in the area of jazz and entertainment music. Rinne has appeared as a soloist of the Helsinki City Orchestra, the Turku Philharmonic Orchestra and the Pori Sinfonietta, among others.
The UMO Helsinki Ensemble is a smaller musical group assembled from the UMO Helsinki Jazz Orchestra, whose musicians have a long career both in the ranks of the UMO and in numerous individual projects. The program for the concert was planned by trumpeter Tero Saarti, who also leads the ensemble.
Line-up:
Annimaria Rinne, vocals
Tero Saarti, trumpet & lead
Manuel Dunkel, saxophone
Kirmo Lintinen, piano
Juho Kivivuori, bass
