UMO Helsinki Jazz Orchestra opens the doors of its rehearsal space for the audience! At UMO Helsinki’s open rehearsals you will witness how the program gets crystallised and the orchestra’s sound unified. As the rehearsals are kept as authentic as possible, certain parts and passages may be honed a number of times. The conductor will also be present at the rehearsals, directing the orchestra toward the desired sound.
At these rehearsals, the repertoire for the celebratory concerts of trumpeter Tero Saarti will be completed under the direction of conductor Mikko Hassinen. Info & tickets for the concerts on 22.9. & 29.9.2023 >>
Location: Kaapelitehdas / Cable Factory, Tallberginkatu 1, Helsinki (Avanti’s rehearsal hall, B-door, 1st floor)
Free admission, no pre-registration.
The rehearsals are open for visitors from 12:30 to 14:30.
