UMO Helsinki Jazz Orchestra and dazzling jazz vocalist Nina Mya gave a concert in Savoy Theatre, Helsinki on 30th September 2020 with conductor Ed Partyka. The program included some jazz standards, pop rock favourites as well as Partyka’s new compositions. A couple of Nina Mya’s own songs have received brand new big band arrangements and they were heard for the first time in this concert! The conductor Partyka has his own, unique style of composing and arranging, and his relaxed and refreshing approach to serious music is easily approachable.
