Lunch concert:
UMO Helsinki Jazz Orchestra feat. Nina Mya:
Searching My Soul
Conductor Ed Partyka
Thu 30th September 2021 at noon // Savoy Theatre, Helsinki
September 30th seems to be an auspicious date for UMO and Nina Mya. Our last live concert together was on that date in 2020, and we are thrilled to be performing together again this year on the exact same date. Even though an entire year has passed between these live events, we have been busy behind the scenes creating new music together.
Something else that is auspicious in the relationship between Nina Mya and UMO is the synergy created when Nina’s wonderful original compositions are reimagined for jazz orchestra by Ed Partyka. These arrangements were written and recorded this Spring in our studio at the Cable Factory, and even though the LP will not be released until next year, fans will have the opportunity to hear this exciting new music performed live for the first time at the Savoy Theatre on September 30th.
NOTE! Free admission, but a ticket is required. Pick up a ticket in advance from the Savoy Theatre ticket office (0 €) or Lippu.fi (1 € fee). Max. 4 tickets / booking. The capacity of the concert is 50 %, ie every other bench is in use. Entrance at 11:30 / 11:40 / 11:50, arrival time will be instructed by email to those who get the ticket.
