UMO Helsinki´s Jazztasting – Learning Climate Concert

UMO Helsinki Jazz Orchestra creates a learning environment – Jazztasting – in which the audience can learn about big band music at the same time when raising awareness on nature conservation.
The profits of the concert will be forwarded to the Finnish Natural Heritage Foundation. Choosing the ticket price (20 €, 25 €, 30 €, 35 €, 40 €, 45 €, 50 €) is in your hands.
Jazztasting – Learning Climate Concert is a musical journey into different flavours of jazz and big band music: you will get familiar with big band arrangement, improvisation, themes and dynamics by hearing some of the most legendary compositions of Duke Ellington, Thad Jones, Count Basie, Dizzy Gillepie, Herbie Hancock and Bob Brookmeyer. The orchestra will be conducted by Ville Vannemaa.
The jazz police will not be admitted in this learning environment, so everyone are free to taste jazz in their preferred way, with or without expertise.
The event is part of Helsinki Design Week.
