Henriika Steidel-Luoto (b. 1991) has been appointed as the substitute of general manager of the UMO Foundation, which runs the UMO Helsinki Jazz Orchestra.
Henriika Steidel-Luoto is a versatile professional of music and culture with extensive experience in various roles as a producer, music pedagogue, composer and musician. She has worked as producer of Sointi Jazz Orchestra and Jyväskylä Big Band, as well as artistic director and producer of Wine Garden Festival. She has years of experience in big bands also as a trombonist and vocalist. Through her work as a producer and musician, Steidel-Luoto has good networks across genre boundaries both in Finland and internationally. Her passion is big band music and its development.
